Are pubs open for the May Bank Holiday?

Many pubs throughout the UK receive requests for work and family meals over Bank Holidays.

Quite a few remain open for this busy period, but some choose to close to give their staff time off to rest.

If your local pub is independently run they’ll dictate their opening hours over the Bank Holiday.

But we look at the opening hours for some of the country’s biggest pub chains.

Wetherspoons

Wetherspoons pubs’ opening hours vary from boozer to boozer so it’s always worth checking ahead to see if your local will be open.

You can do this by using the chain’s locator tool on its website, or you can always pick up the phone and call.

We checked out the opening hours of several Wetherspoons pubs online and they are all open over the Bank Holiday.

It’s worth noting opening hours can change, so it’s best to call ahead and double-check.
