Apple is reportedly set to refresh nearly its entire Mac lineup as soon as this summer as it looks to capitalize on surging sales thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new products will reportedly include a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, iMac and updated Mac Mini.
It’s believed that the new computers will include updated variants of Apple’s M1 chips, which were introduced last November.
At the time, CEO Tim Cook said the company would eventually replace its entire lineup of computers running Intel chips with its own processors, but did not specify an exact timeframe for when it would do so.

The M1 chips have lower power needs than Intel processors, which Apple had used in its computers for more than 15 years.
As a result, Mac computers are now capable of running same apps as its mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPad.
The new chips will reportedly include 10-cores, eight for high-performance needs and two that are energy-efficient for tasks such as web browsing.
The current M1 chips have eight-cores, four of which are high-performance and four that are energy efficient.
In addition to the new processors, the updated Macs may also include new designs, MagSafe chargers and an improved ability to connect to external devices, such as monitors.
News of the new Mac computers was first reported by Bloomberg.
Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple has not yet responded to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.

Led by Cook, Apple has seen a resurgence in Mac sales during the past 12 months as many employees work from home during the pandemic, resulting in a new for new equipment.
In the company’s most recent quarter, Mac revenue reached an ‘all-time high’ according to the company, clocking in at $9.1 billion, up 168 percent year-over-year.
That accounted for nearly 10 percent of the company’s total quarterly revenue during the period.
