ANYONE who meddles with their iPhone will no longer be able to fix it by reverting back to the previous version of iOS.
Apple has officially stopped “signing” iOS 15.4.1, making it impossible for jailbreakers to leap back from the latest build of iOS if they do something horribly wrong.
Downgrading is usually seen as a last resort when your iPhone is acting up, which is more likely to happen if you dabble under the bonnet.
It’s pretty standard procedure for Apple to do this when it releases new iOS kit.
With each version, the tech giant not only throws in new features but crucially it includes a bunch of security fixes.
It’s one of the ways Apple manages to keep the iPhone pretty safe from hackers.
So anyone experiencing issues with iOS 15.5 right now will have to wait until the firm launches the next update.
That could be a couple of months off yet, as iOS 15.5 was only put out on May 16.
It included a number of big changes, including improvements to Apple Cash and some new features within the Podcasts app.
Wallet now lets people send and request money with their Apple Cash card.

The Podcasts app has been updated with a special ability to limit episodes kept on your iPhone by deleting older ones, in a bid to save space.
Some problems with home automations were also fixed.
Of course, anyone with issues who can no longer revert back to iOS 15.4.1 have one other option.
That’s to install the iOS beta – though that can be equally as buggy by its very nature, so it’s best not to jailbreak your iPhone at all.
