APPLE has been left stumped by two issues hitting iPhone users, which it has failed to fix in an upcoming update.
The problems include unstable Wi-Fi connections and a bizarre issue in which iPhones shutdown on their own overnight.

A number of customers who bought into the iPhone 15 lineup have reported that content won’t load on their phones while connected to Wi-Fi.
Others have said that even though content loads in, it does so very slowly.
It’s not an ideal performance from a brand new iPhone 15, which hit the shelves in early September.
Meanwhile, other Apple customers have noticed their devices switched off autonomously between roughly 3am and 7am some days.

It has led to users being late for work after missing their morning alarm, not hearing important notifications and being unable to use their device late at night or in the early hours of morning.
The issue is not limited to iPhone 15 models, either, which have faced a number of problems since their launch.
Many users have reported experiencing the ‘bug’ with older devices like the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 14 Pro Max.
If your iPhone opens to the passcode screen in the morning, or if an alarm fails to go off, it’s likely you have been impacted by this bug.

‘My phone is useless’
Both the Wi-Fi and overnight switch-off bugs don’t appear to have been fixed in Apple’s upcoming iOS 17.1 update.
In a community discussion on Apple’s website, iPhone owners say they’re disappointed the tech company hasn’t come up with a fix for the Wi-Fi issue yet.
“Very disappointing that this hasn’t been corrected with the 17.1 release,” one customer wrote.
“I’ve given away my iPhone 13 Pro to a family member, so no option to revert back to that.
“As it stands currently I feel like my phone is useless while I’m at home – I have to go grab my laptop or iPad to simply check the weather or my email.
“I’ve never been tempted to step away from the iPhone but knowing this hasn’t been fixed with the 17.1 release has me beyond frustrated.”
Another replied: “While these are certainly ‘first world problems’ it really is mission critical for a device to have reliable Wi-Fi in 2023. Especially devices of this price point.
“I wish there was some good workaround we could achieve for now just to get you by but, other than making a lot of noise here and other places on the internet, doesn’t seem like there is a solution on the horizon.”

The update is due to arrive sometime before October 24.
While many are disappointed with iOS 17.1 so far, it does, however, fix Apple Wallet crashes for iPhone owners and another software issue impacting Smart Watch owners.
