Apple has just revealed the new iPhone 13 series at its California launch event.

The hotly anticipated device is called the iPhone 13 and there’s also an iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The tech giant said the iPhone series has a “sleek flat edge design” with tough smartphone glass.

It’s got industry-leading water resistance and an impressive camera.

The iPhone 13 will come in a selection of colours including a hotly anticipated light pink.

Apple says it has designed the iPhone with “the environment in mind” as it contains some recycled materials.

The iPhone 13 has Apple’s most advanced dual camera system.

Apple has worked on its night-mode capabilities and says you can take stunning and clear photos in low light situations.

The tech giant also demonstrated the iPhone 13’s video capabilities and its new cinematic mode with focus transitions that happen automatically.

Apple also stressed that the iPhone 13 has 5G capabilities and said it can provide “the best 5G experience”.

It’s also said to have fast new chip and a longer battery life.

Compared to the iPhone 12, iPhone 13 users should have 2.5 hours longer battery life throughout the day.

Users of the iPhone 13 Mini should get 1.5 hours more battery life than iPhone 12 Mini users.

Strict privacy and the benefits of iOS 15 were also touched on at the event.

Prices start at $699 for the iPhone 13.

There’s also a new 512GB option.

What about the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max?

Apple also discussed the iPhone 13 Pro in detail.

It’s also got an A15 Bionic chip but has a Super Retina XDR display.

You can get the Pro with a 6.1inch screen or the Pro Max with a 6.7inch.

It comes in a range of colours including a new blue design.

The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max provides an impressive camera system and pro-level video.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max also has the longest battery life ever in an iPhone.

Compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max users should have 2.5 hours longer battery life throughout the day.

Users of the iPhone 13 Pro should get 1.5 hours more battery life than iPhone 12 Pro users.

The iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at $1099.
