Apple has released the highly anticipated iOS 17 update that addresses overheating issues plaguing the new iPhone 15 lineup.

The push follows numerous reports from users claiming their iPhone 15 Pro would top 100 degrees Fahrenheit after just a few minutes of us.

Apple has blamed a software bug and other issues tied to popular apps such as Instagram and Uber for causing the smartphones to heat up.

However, an early video demonstration of the iOS 17.0.3 shows the handset clocking in at higher temperatures than without the update – but one YouTuber said it ‘cools down very quickly.’

Reports of Apple releasing the update to fix the issue have circled the web for days.

And now, users plagued with overheating smartphones might finally find some relief.

The new iOS 17 update also includes bug fixes and security updates.

Moments after Apple pushed the software update, YouTuber zollotech shared a demonstration video to test it.

He took the temperatures of an iPhone 15 Pro before the new software was downloaded, showing 100 degrees on the front and back.

However, with the new software, the smartphone reached 107 degrees on the front and 105 degrees on the back.

He said the smartphone did not feel excessively hot after the updated iOS was installed.

‘It does not feel hot in my hand, and it cools down very quickly… We’ll have to give it a few days to see if this fixes the issues people are having,’ the YouTuber said in the video.

Tech experts had believed the trouble was related to the iPhone 15’s new processor or titanium casing that houses the high-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

An Apple spokesperson told DailyMail.com that users might notice their iPhone 15 Pro feeling warmer when they set it up, restore from backup, wirelessly charge it, or use graphics-intensive or processor-intensive apps.

The tech giant has said a bug and other issues, such as the use of popular apps like Instagram and Uber, were causing the newly released model of the iPhone to heat up.

Instagram released an updated version of its app on September 26 that claims to resolve the overheating.

Users have shared their frustration about using the Instagram app on their iPhone 15 Pro for just a few minutes and finding it became incredibly hot.

Uber and other applications, such as the video game Asphalt 9, are still rolling out their updates.
