Police response to protests after Queen’s death criticised by civil liberties organisations and others

A woman who was arrested by police in Edinburgh as she staged a protest during the accession proclamation for the new King has been charged.

Police Scotland said that the woman, 22, was arrested on Sunday outside St Giles’ cathedral in connection with a breach of the peace.
