AMAZON has slashed the price of a box of Cadbury Milk Tray chocolates to a fiver for Valentine’s Day.

The chocs usually cost £12.99 so lovebirds can save £7.99 in the offer – although you don’t need to be in a couple to take advantage of the deal.

The selection box weighs 530g and is loaded with white chocolates, apple, strawberry, hazelnut, praline, salted caramel, caramel and orange flavoured treats.

The online retailer is offering free delivery on the sweets too although it’s worth noting they’re not eligible for next day delivery .

It means they won’t arrive in time for February 14, which is tomorrow, unless you’re an Amazon Prime member.

Prime is the retailer’s premium subscription service that offers customers free next day delivery across thousands of items.

What is Amazon Prime and how much does it cost?

AMAZON Prime is a subscription service that includes benefits such as free delivery and streaming media.

Prime members are also able to take part in special events such as Amazon Prime Day, where they’re usually offered exclusive discounts.

Amazon Prime costs £7.99 a month or £79 a year for non-students, while students pay £3.99 a month or £39 a year.

Alternatively, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial if you’re not sure you want to commit – just ensure you cancel before the 30 days is up or you’ll be rolled over onto a paid-for contract. See below for more on this.

Some industry experts have previously predicted that this fee will eventually go up.

It costs £7.99 a month or £79 over the year but the service does offer a free 30 day trial for new members.

If you sign up to Prime today, your chocs will be delivered tomorrow so you won’t be late for your loved one.

You will need to provide your card details though, and while you won’t be charged immediately, you’ll need to remember to cancel it before the trial ends.

But if you have left things to the last minute and would rather pick up the chocolates yourself, Morrisons is actually stocking the treats for the same price.

You can pick up a box on your next essential trip to the supermarket instead of waiting for your online order to turn up.

That way, you’ll save on delivery fees and get them in time for Valentine’s Day.

If you’re looking to save even more cash, Tesco is selling a smaller box of Cadbury Milk Tray that weighs 360g for £1 less at £4 – but of course you’ll be getting less chocolate.
