There will be discounts available on a range of products including from brands like LEGO, Samsung, Braun and Tefal.

The catch is that you have to be an Amazon Prime member to be able to participate in the event.

However, you can sign up to a 30-day free trial via Amazon’s website ahead of the sale.

After that Amazon will cost you £8.99 a month or £95 per year.

Although it’s called Prime Day, the upcoming event will be held across 48 hours.

The last time Amazon held a flash sale like this was across July 12 and 13.

The online marketplace giant also held an event last year, on June 21 and 22.

To partake in the sale, you just have to sign up to Amazon Prime.

The subscription service also comes with free next-day delivery and access to Prime Video, a streaming service.

Of course, you should always remember to search around for the best deals.

Just because something is on offer in the Amazon Prime Day sale, that doesn’t mean you won’t find it cheaper elsewhere.

You can find out the best prices for products on price comparison websites like Shopping.com and PriceGrabber.com.
