AMAZON Fire TV Stick users can use a hidden speed test to reveal internet issues that are slowing down movies and TV shows.

The speed test is very easy to use and completely free.

To find it, go to the Settings app on your Fire TV.

Then, click on Network and click on the down button.

Doing this should reveal another options menu.

Here you can click on the Wi-Fi network you’re using and then select Play.

You should then see another screen appear that gives you details on your connection status.

Here you can scroll across and select the Run Speed Test button.

You’ll be asked if you want to run a speed test and will be warned that it will use additional data.

Click on Yes, Continue if you’re happy to go ahead.

Your Wi-Fi speed should then be displayed to you under Network Download Speed.

You’ll also be given some speed recommendations based on your current reading.
