A website called Fire Stick Tricks claims: “If you are facing responsiveness, slowdowns, or crashes in some of your applications, delete and reinstall them to see if it returns those applications to their functional state.”

The trick could even slow up your movie-watching experience by helping you avoid buffering.

If you want to delete and reinstall apps, it’s very easy.

Select the gear icon on your TV to go to the Settings menu.

Then click on Applications and then Manage Installed Applications.

Here you’ll see all the apps you have on your Fire TV device.

Select the app that you’re having an issue with.

You might need to click Force stop if it’s still in use.

Then, find Clear cache and click this as well as Clear data.

Click on Clear data and then Uninstall.

You’ll need to confirm this choice and then the app will be gone.

Next, you’ll have to reinstall the app by searching for it and downloading it.

Bear in mind that you’ve now deleted data associated with the app.

That means you will need to log in again.
