PEOPLE are increasingly turning to free streaming alternatives to slash their bills.
These days, you don’t even need an aerial, satellite or cable for live TV.
The likes of Samsung and LG have their own selection of free internet-based stations available to customers.
These are known as FAST channels, which stands for Fast Ad-Supported Streaming Television.
As the name clearly states, there are adverts on them like any traditional channel.
Strictly speaking, most of them aren’t actually live, they’re just a running order of shows – though don’t forget this happens on traditional TV channels too.

More often than not, they have specific themes.
For example, just yesterday we learnt about the launch of a new channel on selected boxes with back-to-back episodes of some BBC favourites.
But if your TV itself doesn’t have any of these free channels not to worry, as your Amazon Fire TV Stick offers access to a load as well.
Here are the top three.

Most of the content it shows are classic programmes and movies.
For example, if you love tabloid talk shows there’s a channel devoted to episodes from The Jerry Springer Show and Maury, among others.
Viewers who are interested in real crime have a dedicated channel to horrifying cases from over the years.
There are even channels for the kids, including one stream showing nothing but the Smurfs, as well as Sonic the Hedgehog.

Freevee is Amazon’s free alternative to Amazon Prime Video.
It offers a selection of channels and on-demand content supported by adverts.
And many are quite big names.
The roster includes channels devoted to The Real Housewives, Judy Justice, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Bionic Woman, Hell’s Kitchen, The Addam’s Family, Pink Panther and many more.
You can even tune into TalkTV through the service.
ITVX
You’ll know about ITVX as an on-demand and catch up service from ITV already.
But not many people realise that the British broadcaster also has some extra live channels beyond the usual ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and ITVBe.
