This means a new channel called Deal Masters is launching on the streamed app, with shows about making extra cash.

Hardcore Pawn and Flipping Bangers are among the programmes to appear, with some 40 series that are new to free streaming.

Another new station is History Hunters with historians and celebrities including Sir Tony Robinson, Professor Alice Roberts, Dan Jones, and Al Murray.

A third offering is the RTV Biography Channel.

The station is home to real-life stories about fascinating people and celebs, with documentaries on Robin Williams, Elvis Presley, The Krays, Muhammad Ali, Jennifer Aniston, Megan Markle, Tina Turner, Seve Ballesteros, Dua Lipa and Tom Cruise.

Rakuten TV is already available to millions of Brits as a free smart TV app and via Amazon Fire TV Sticks.

Don’t forget, if you watch live-streamed TV channels you still need a TV Licence or you could face a fine of up to £1000.

But there’s hundreds of on-demand shows and movies that aren’t live and you don’t need a TV Licence to watch.

The move comes amid an explosion in so-called “FAST” channels, which stands for free ad-supported streaming TV.

Samsung and LG already have a load of their own built into their TVs, with the channels from UKTV and Sky on them.

“We are very pleased to see top global and local providers investing further in FAST and we welcome these partnerships as it supports Rakuten TV’s continuous growth in providing locally relevant content to our audiences,” Rakuten TV’s Chief Content Officer, Marcos Milanez, said.

“Rakuten TV also remains committed to invest on its portfolio of owned & operated channels.”
