A GREAT deal on last year’s iPhone 12 could save you hundreds of pounds.

Now that the iPhone 13 is official, deals on Apple’s slightly older iPhone 12 are much easier to find.

The iPhone 12 is still an impressive handset

This particular deal only costs £20 a month, which isn’t bad for an iPhone.

There’s a £339.99 upfront fee for the iPhone itself, but the total cost of the handset remains low.

You get 4GB of 5G-ready data, which is handy as the iPhone 12 was the first to support speedy 5G internet.

And it includes unlimited minutes and texts too.

The deal is with Vodafone, and available through online retailer Mobiles.co.uk

So how much does this deal save you?

Over two years, the total cost of this contract runs to £820.

Apple currently sells the iPhone 12 for £679 (down from its £799 launch price and the £779 iPhone 13).

Vodafone’s closest SIM-only deal is £15 a month for 5GB of 5G data.

So if you bought the iPhone 12 outright with a SIM on the side, you’d be paying £1,039.

With the Mobiles deal, you can spread the cost and still pay far less.

The total saving works out at £219, which is nothing to sniff at.

The iPhone 12 is Apple’s 2020 handset, only recently replaced by the very similar iPhone 13.

So buying an iPhone 12 is a great way to save some cash.

It’s part of the first cohort of Apple smartphones to support faster 5G speeds.

And it’s got a slick design, a brilliant camera system and a large pin-sharp display.
