Retailers have launched sales on garden furniture

Argos has launched an Easter sale with up to a third off the price of garden furniture.

B&M, Homebase and The Range have also discounted the price outdoor items including hanging egg chairs and rattan patio sets.

Remember to compare prices before you buy a new garden set to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

It can be tempting to make an impulse purchase in a sale, but unless you were already planning to buy something it’s not really a saving.

At the cheaper end of the scale, you can save £6 on a yellow sun lounger.

If you shop online, make sure you factor delivery costs into the overall price.

The fee for large items starts at £6.95 for home delivery.

Alternatively, you could head to your nearest Argos store.

Make sure you check opening times as they will be affected by the Bank Holiday.

B&M has also reduced the price of garden furniture this weekend.

For example, this Bali rattan four piece has £50 knocked off the price tag, making it £200.

It includes a glass-topped table and three chairs.

There’s lots of similar sets in the shops at the moment, for example The Range is selling a grey version for £159.

B&M fans can’t shop online so you’ll have to wait until stores are open to snap up a bargain.

The Homebase deal is one of the best prices we could find online.

A rattan sofa set at The Range is £399, while John Lewis is charging £600.

But make sure you do your own research before making a purchase.

Homebase charges £12.50 for home delivery of larger items, so factor that into the total price.

Alternatively you could pick your purchase up from your local store.
