ALDI’S popular large hanging egg chair is back in stock – but customers won’t be pleased.

It’s gone up in price since last year, when it cost £299.99.

This year the garden essential, which is the larger of two options, will set you back £344.99 – so £45 more than it sold for in 2022.

It’s also only available online, so you’ll need to factor in delivery costs regardless.

Standard delivery is £4.95 but it could cost more since it’s a bigger item.

You can pre-order now for dispatch from March 19 and it comes with a waterproof cover as well.

The maximum weight the chair can carry is 180kg and it weighs 47kg so bear that in mind if you have plans to move it once it arrives.

You’ll also need to build it yourself, but it shouldn’t take too long. There will be an instruction manual included to help.

But there’s a three-year warranty on the product – so you’re covered if there’s issues with it.

You’re best to be quick if you want one – the chair flew off shelves at the height of summer last year.

It’s also a Specialbuy which means there will be a limited number in stock and it won’t be selling for long.

It’s worth noting the single egg chair will be available exclusively online too, although Aldi hasn’t confirmed when yet.

This one will cost £199.99, so still £10 more than last year. It holds a maximum weight of 100kg.

Remember to still shop around as well so you’re not putting all your eggs in one basket though – comparison sites like Google Shopping will help you look at what other retailers are selling and for how much.

For example, we found a Singapore Hanging Egg Chair from Dunelm that’ll set you back £259.

In comparison, it doesn’t confirm how much weight it can carry, you’ll need to build it and there’s a further £9.95 delivery fee on top if you’re ordering it.

However, you can find your nearest Dunelm using the store locator on its website.

A larger one similar to Aldi’s big hanging egg chair will have you forking out £498.99.

B&Q also does a £149 Norfolk Leisure Folding Outdoor Basket Swing available for home delivery, or you can look up your nearest branch on the website.

Again, remember delivery costs if you’re ordering.

And this one will hold up to 150kg – so a little less than Aldi’s.
