Air purifiers can help with allergies and asthma by removing particles from the air such as dust, smoke, allergens, and irritants.

They are also useful in reducing odours, such as cooking smells or cigarette smoke, helping make the home environment more comfortable for a good night’s sleep.

The product has received some rave reviews online, with one happy customer saying that the gadget was “very good for clearing the air and making the room feel fresher”.

Another said that the product was “easy to use and set up” and “works a treat”.

While another commented that they are having “a better sleep with a less stuffy nose”.

Some shoppers did say they had difficulty in getting a replacement filter for the item, but Aldi customer service responded by advising people to contact the aftersales support team.

Prices for air purifiers vary depending on the brand and how many settings and features the product has.

There are others on the market, but the Aldi one does appear to be very good value, and the cheapest out there based on models with similar features.

Homedics currently have one on sale for £79.99, and Phillips has a range of units starting from £155 to £485.

The cheapest offering in Argos is a Challenge 0.5 Litre Mini Dehumidifier priced at £60.00.

It is always advisable to shop around in order to get the best deal for you and your family before splashing out your hard-earned cash.

You might find better deals and products with features that better suit your needs at other shops.
