ALDI’S iconic wooden toy range has returned this year and shoppers can find festive favourites plus one controversial new addition.
The budget supermarket may risk angering M&S after it unveiled a toy range which features a toy version of Aldi’s Cuthbert the Caterpillar cake.
Cuthbert hasn’t had an easy road making it onto supermarket shelves.
In 2021 M&S lodged an infringement claim against Aldi arguing the chocolate cake was too similar to its classic Colin the Caterpillar which has been around for 30 years with an unchanged design.
But Cuthbert made it back onto shelves in February last year after the two supermarkets called a truce in an agreed settlement.
Well, Aldi seems to be hitting back, now little ones can play with a wooden Cuthbert as part of the Wooden Birthday Cake Assortment.
