ALDI has launched an all new picnic range just in time for summer and the collection includes a nifty wine holder table.

The entire range is due to hit shelves in-store at Aldi on Sunday but you can preorder a lot of it online now too.

A predicted best seller from the launch is the Kirkton House Picnic Wine Table which Aldi is selling for £5.99.

You can setup your boozy picnic wherever you like with the new buy as it’s a portable table that can be easily put away by folding up the legs.

When it’s all set up, it measures approximately 40cm in width and it sits at 15cm tall.

It’s made from bamboo and features five carved slots that allow you to suspend a wine bottle and glasses.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

You can buy an almost identical product from Robert Dyas for £35, which means Aldi’s new one is £29 cheaper.

The Robert Dyas version can only hold two glasses and a bottle in comparison to Aldi’s which can hold four plus the bottle, so the cheaper option will be better for a trip out with pals too.

While you’ll be able to nab the bargain in-store from Sunday, you can only pre-order the table for now, so it also won’t dispatch until the weekend, meaning you’ll probably receive your order midweek next week.

Fans of the discount supermarket can’t wait for the new launch though, which is no surprise as Aldi specialbuys have been selling-out week after week.

On the Playpennies Facebook page users noted their excitement for the new wine holder table as one said it will be, “perfect for camping”, and another said it will be great “for our next drink in the sun!”

Plus, many were thrilled at the prospect of suspending your glasses and bottle in the table, as one said: “I need this to stop wine getting knocked over when we have BBQs outside.”

Another claimed the quirky feature was a great investment, adding: “We need this so I don’t have to replace the Prosecco glasses after each boozy weekend!”

One user was quick to point out though, that as the table was proving to be so popular, “they’ll soon be gone!”

Stock across the entire range is subject to availability, and with each item perfect for the hot summer days to come, you’ll have to be quick otherwise you might miss out.

If you are ordering online you’ll have to factor in the extra delivery charges which start from £2.95.

But there is a way to save on the extra costs by heading in-store to pick up the new bargains in person – you can use Aldi’s locator tool to help find your closest one.

In the meantime, there are plenty of other items to check out dropping in the range too, including a wine cooler bag for £17 which is £3 cheaper than one Lidl is selling for £20.

You’ll be able to pick up travel cutlery for £6, as well as a £15 pull-along picnic cooler to pop all your goodies in too.

If you need some inspiration on what to stock up your new picnic table with, Aldi has the cheapest supermarket Prosecco with bottles available for just £4.29.

You’ll also be able to buy a cheap swimming pool from the store to help beat the heat this summer.

One Aldi shopper bagged a huge kid’s furniture haul – including tables and chairs – after prices were slashed at her local store over the weekend.
