HORRIFIED parents have kicked up a stink over Aldi’s new range of nappies after mistaking their brown design for giant “poonamis”.

Shocked mums and dads claim the huge animal faces printed on the front are giving them a “heart attack” each time they get their babies undressed.

Aldi’s updated Mamia newborn nappies now come with either a fox, rabbit, squirrel on mouse on them.

But it is the large brown fox that is causing the most alarm during bottom changes.

New mum Hannah McLaren from Romford, Essex, said: “These new nappies from Aldi are crazy.

“I keep thinking my son has had a poo explosion every time I go to change his bum

“Even my friend passed him back to me during a cuddle as she’d thought he’d done a massive number two.

“I had to explain it wasn’t a huge poo, just the new print on the nappy.”

Lara Catryn from Swansea, Wales, has contacted Aldi on social media and accused the design team of ‘not being parents’.

She the purse-friendly supermarket giant:  “Whoever designed the new @AldiUK nappies to be BROWN clearly does not have kids.

“Heart attack every time I check. The brown looks like a permanent poonami.”

Jenny Matthews has also contacted Aldi to point out the design flaw.

She said: “@AldiUK why have you now put a dark brown animal on your newborn nappies?

“The colour brown underneath light clothing makes it look like he’s pooed himself.

“Can we please go back to the old one?!”

Aldi is rolling out its new design on its Mamia Newborn nappies.

The packs come with either ‘Fox & Rabbit’ nappies inside or ‘Squirrel & Mouse’ ones.

A pack of 24 size one newborn nappies costs just 85p.

Aldi has told unhappy customers that they will ensure “comments are fed back to the relevant team”.

Last year parents were up in arms over Aldi’s change to wet wipes which saw the essential shrink in size and increase in price.

Meanwhile Lidl shoppers were caught short by a change to loo roll which saw the ply reduced.

Parents also complained that Asda’s nappy redesign caused leaks.

Aldi has been making parents much happier recently with its bargain offer on a kids travel essential selling at just £14.99.
