ALDI has launched a massive baby and toddler specialbuy event with more than 100 products on offer.
The new range has a whole host of baby buys from bibs to strollers, and prices start from £3.
The baby themed specialbuys were made available yesterday and half of the stock has already sold out, so you’ll want to be quick to nab one of the bargains.
Some of the larger items like the baby gate Aldi has on offer are only available for delivery, so you’ll have to factor in the extra £3.95 it will cost to get the item sent to your front door.
But if you want to save on the extra delivery costs you can head in-store for the smaller items like the six pack of soothers that are featured in the event- check the locator tool to find out where your closest is.
But some of the newer release items are for pre-order only at the moment, so you won’t find them in-stores until at least Thursday which is when the next drop is scheduled.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
We’ve narrowed down some of the top picks from the baby and toddler event at Aldi so make sure you check out our list below.
Dribble Bibs
The three pack of dribble bibs that Aldi has on offer is one of the cheapest products available in the event at £2.99.
The bibs have a handy velcro fastening and are machine washable which makes clearing up after a dinnertime mess easy and stress free.
At Asda you can pick up a three pack of dribble bibs complete with cute motifs for an extra 50p more than Aldi’s at £3.50.
Mamia Potty
Aldi is offering another cute design for a typically messy product with its £3.99 potty – there are three other designs available too.
The potty has rubber feet for increased safety and stability and it’s easily transportable too.
Argos has a potty for sale for the same price of £3.99, it’s not got a cute design on like Aldi’s version so if you want to make potty training more fun then the discount supermarket might win this one.
6 pack of Soothers
The £5.99 soother pack is designed for 18-36 month olds but Aldi does have other age ranges available too.
They come in a variety of funky designs as well so you can mix and match but it means each pacifier works out to be around £1.
Asda has a three pack on offer for just £1 which makes each of the pacifiers around 33p – so that’s a saving of 67p per soother if you opt for that one over Aldi’s range.
Mamia Baby Safety Gate
This baby gate is designed to be easy to install with a pressure mount mechanism so no drilling is needed.
It’s got a secure two-step release lock and its made of sturdy metal, fitting a gap of 75-81cm.
Argos has a safety gate on clearance at the moment for £6.98 which is almost half the price of Aldi’s.
Ride On Kids’ Suitcase
You can make tedious travelling fun for kids with a suitcase option like this from Aldi.
This one features two soft handles on the top and an adjustable shoulder strap to carry or pull the trolley, plus locks, and pockets inside.
The kid’s ride on suitcase is an Aldi dupe of the classic Trunkie which retails at nearly £35.
That means the almost identical version that Aldi has on offer is £15 cheaper and your little one still has a fun choice of colours to pick from too as it comes in pink and red as well as yellow.
Babylo Liteway Travel Cot
A travel cot is ideal for those on-the-go and this one is suitable from birth.
It’s got fully ventilated sides and folds for easy storage and transportation, plus a carry bag is included.
Argos is offering a travel crib in its baby clearance for nearly £10 so you could make a saving of nearly £40 with that option over Aldi’s.
The only problem is that because Argos’ version is in the clearance sale, stock is very limited so you’ll have to check your postcode to see if it’s in stock near you.
MyBabiie Swivel Baby Car Seat
This extended rear and forward facing car seat lasts up to the age of four years old and it has integrated safety features.
It’s also got multiple recline positions, and has an adjustable headrest for ultimate comfort for your baby.
Argos has a slightly different design available but it still spins to make it easy to use in the car, that version is only £100 so you could make a saving of £50 instead of Aldi’s newest one.
Ickle Bubba Black Stomp V2 3in1
Aldi’s new stroller is the transformer of push chairs for its £200 price tag.
You can easily switch from carrycot to pushchair in a matter of minutes and it can be used as a car seat as well.
If you don’t want a pushchair that’s quite as geared up then Aldi is also offering one for £50 in the event too which makes a saving of nearly £100.
And if you’re still looking for cheap stroller inspiration then Smyths has one on offer for £50 too.
Kids were covered at Aldi last month too as specialbuys included a whole range of kids toys perfect for Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig fans.
But Aldi’s latest specialbuy release includes a rattan garden tiki bar that’s £100 cheaper than Asda’s.
And we have the rest of the list of items dropping this month in the specialbuy range and the key dates they are released on.
