Christmas Day falls on a Sunday this year, meaning there is an extra bank holiday on the following Tuesday, December 27.
This is on top of the usual Boxing Day bank holiday on Monday, December 26.
As New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, there is also a bank holiday on January 2 too.

All Aldi supermarkets will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Stores will then reopen at 8am on Monday, December 27.
On New Year’s Eve, shops will open until 6pm and will remain closed on New Year’s Day.
