SUPERMARKET giant Aldi has cut a chocolate chip brioche loaf from stores, leaving fans of the bread distraught.
Specifically Selected’s loaf was a popular brioche loaf that fans also said was great for making chocolate chip French toast.
But, Aldi has revealed on X, formerly Twitter, that the bread is now gone from stores.
It has also dissapeared from Aldi’s website.
People on social media had revealed they were fans of the loaf.
“I’ve never been a fan of bread but this Chocolate chip Brioche loaf from ALDI is so so yum,” said one fan.

“I don’t know if you make French toast at all, but Aldi has a chocolate chip brioche loaf that my kids ask for at least once a week,” said another.
“I have been sleeping on this ALDI brioche loaf,” said a third.
Chefs on TikTok have revealed that you can also make “Easy and decadent chocolate chip French toast” with the bread.
One 21-second video showed cooker Amanda Wadding covering a slice of Specifically Selected with milk, egg, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

She then cooks an appetising piece of French toast in the clip.
“I swear Aldi has the best bread,” is the description.
One X account, Royla Mustafa, posted at Aldi asking where the brioche loaf had gone and said it was a firm favourite of his kids’
“Hi there. We’re sorry to say this item has been discontinued,” Aldi replied.
It appears Aldi hasn’t cut other Specifically Selected items, with the brands’ other breads still available.
Aldi has finally put confused customers out of their misery and confirmed there will be no wine advent calendar this year.
Some shoppers were thinking they had missed the boat, while others were wondering if it had not yet been released.
Aldi responded to customers saying: “We don’t currently have any plans for a wine advent calendar this year.
“Sorry for any inconvenience.”
