AN AI humanoid robot called Figure 01 has learned to make coffee, serve food, and even chat with you.

Figure 01 was said to learn its skills just by watching a human.

The self-correcting humanoid watched footage of a human doing simple tasks.

Its skills have been demonstrated in a promotional video released by robotics firm Figure.

The clip was posted on X and explains a bit more about the AI machine.

“With OpenAI, Figure 01 can now have full conversations with people,” the post stated.

“OpenAI models provide high-level visual and language intelligence.

“Figure neural networks deliver fast, low-level, dexterous robot actions,” it continued.

It went on to explain that everything the robot is able to do in the video is due to a neural network.

A neural network is an AI method that involves training a computer to process information in a similar way to the human brain.

The robot even demonstrated its voice in the video.

Not all viewers were impressed with its accent though.

Chilling vid shows world’s fastest humanoid robot sprinting at full pelt – and terrifying faceless droid will never tire

“Love this! but why did you give it the voice of a 50yo smoker?” one person joked.

“Why does it stutter while talking?” another said.

The robot serving food and having a conversation is somewhat of a breakthrough for the company.

It’s impressive tech that other humanoid researchers are working on.

According to Live Science, Figure 01 demonstrates two advancements in robotics.

The first is the robot being dexterous and able to handle objects like a human.

Secondly, the video suggests the robot is capable of natural language processing.
