Video is the new photo – apps like TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube are more popular than ever.

So making sure your iPhone is shooting in the best possible quality is important.

Not all iPhones have the same cameras, so some are better than others.

But if you have any iPhone at all, you can check what sort of quality you’re shooting in.

The hack was shared by TikTok star Katarina Mogus.

She posted the trick on social media where it has racked up more than 30,000 likes.

First, make sure you’re update to the latest version of iOS.

Do this by going to Settings > General > Software Update and ensuring there are no updates available.

Now go back into Settings, but this time head to Camera.

Then tap into Record Video, where you’ll find a selection of camera settings.

You’ll want to choose the best possible quality according to @Katamogz.

If you’ve got a newer iPhone, this will almost certainly be 4K at 60 frames per second.

Remember: if you’re shooting in hi-res at high frame rates, video will take up more space.

So if you shoot a lot of video that you don’t really care about, it’s probably not worth choosing the best quality.

Alternatively, if all of your videos are precious and you have loads of storage space, use the best settings.

Then Katarina says to toggle on HDR video.

That activates High Dynamic Range, which helps the phone manage scenes with difficult lighting.

So you’ll get a more balanced image if you’re shooting a subject standing in front of a bright background, for instance.

Finally, Katarina suggests turning Auto FPS to OFF, so that the phone doesn’t adjust your frame rate on its own.

Remember that these tricks alone aren’t enough to make a perfect video.

You’ll still need a nice setting, an interesting subject, and great composition.
