- One in five women reported unwanted physical attention
- Football Supporters’ Association surveyed 2,000 fans
Women are less tolerant of sexist behaviour at football matches than they were seven years ago, according to a new survey of more than 2,000 fans.
The Football Supporters’ Association research, that has measured current views against those of fans in 2014, found there has been a 20% increase (to 49%) in the number of match-going fans who said witnessing sexist behaviour made them angry. Meanwhile, just 12% said they would laugh off sexism, as opposed to 24% of fans surveyed in 2014.
