MARKS & Spencer is selling a festive Percy Pig soft toy like the animated version that features in its new Christmas advert.
The retailer launched its Christmas advert this morning which shows Percy Pig magically come to life and set out to explore an M&S food hall.
The Christmas clip features British actor Tom Holland – the star of the latest Spider-man films – as the voice of Percy Pig.
National treasure Dawn French brings a festive fairy to life in the advert, which showcases M&S’s Christmas food range.
Shoppers can now get their hands on a special Percy Pig toy, complete with a Santa hat and a fluffy red scarf.
The soft toy is £16 and can be ordered online now for delivery from November 9.
You’ll also be able to pick up the limited edition item in M&S stores – find your local branch here.
The M&S Christmas food advert premiered this morning during ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
It opens with a security guard closing an empty M&S shop for the night.
But then a cuddly toy Percy Pig is magically woken up when the fairy accidentally drops her wand on the Christmas present box he’s wrapped up in.
He takes a tour of the M&S store in Stratford, east London, where the advert was filmed, and is amazed at all the festive food on offer.
M&S is planning to launch a new Percy Pig adventure every week until the new year – that’s eight more ads in total.
John Lewis also launched its highly anticipated Christmas advert this morning.
Shoppers were also able to buy items from that advert and the products flew off the shelves.
The department store completely sold out of the Christmas tree jumper that features in the ad this morning.
It has since restoked men’s and children’s sizes, but there were no women’s versions available at the time of writing.
John Lewis said there would be more “landing soon”, in a nod to the outer space theme of its Christmas advert.
