You know those people who insist on celebrating their birthday all week? Apparently Alexa is one of them.

After a mammoth Blink camera sale to mark the voice assistant’s seven birthday yesterday, Amazon has now slashed the prices of its Echo speaker range.

The 4th-generation Echo Dot has been reduced to £69.99 and you can get a Philips smart bulb FREE

  • Echo Dot (4th-gen), was £89.99 now £69.99 with free Philips Hue bulb, Amazon – buy here

There are great price drops on multiple Echos including the Dot, Show 5 and Show 8 – but it’s worth bearing in mind that these aren’t the lowest prices we’ve ever seen.

For example, the 3rd-generation Echo Dot has been reduced from £39.99 to £24.99. That’s a sizeable discount, but it doesn’t match the £18.99 we saw this time a year ago.

Similarly, the Echo Show 5 (which has a screen for video calls) has been discounted from £74.99 to £49.99 – but we saw it go for £44.99 back in October.

But we were to recommend a product, it’s the Echo and Philips Hue bundle – the Echo itself has fallen from £89.99 to £69.99, and you can add on a Philips Hue smart bulb for the added cost of £0.

This is a great little offer that’s going under the radar here – certainly if you want to introduce a smart setup to your home this is a great start.

With the Philips Hue smart bulb in place, you can activate and dim the lights without pressing a single button – instead, you can simply ask Alexa to do it for you.

There will be plenty of great Amazon Black Friday deals to come throughout November – but this little freebie on already discounted product might be a one-off.
