ALDI has launched a Willy Wonka-style contest giving shoppers the chance to win £10,000 if they find a golden ticket hidden in a chocolate bar.

The supermarket announced today that it has tucked 25 tickets inside chocolate bars, which will be on sale across the UK next week.

Five lucky shoppers could win £10,000, and 20 of the vouchers are worth £5,000.

They’ll be hidden in Aldi’s Dairyfine Golden Giveaway Chocolate Bars.

To be in with a chance of winning, you just have to buy one of the 800g sweet treats, which cost £4.99.

The bars will be on sale in Aldi’s UK stores from Monday, November 1, and will also be available as part of click and collect orders.

You can find your nearest store online, but remember they won’t be for sale in Aldi Local branches.

If you find a ticket, you will be able to claim the value of the cash prize by visiting Aldi’s website.

Winners have to claim their prize by midnight on January 24 2022 by sending Aldi their details and then posting the original Golden Ticket.

Entrants must live in Great Britain and be over 18, the supermarket said.

Chocoholics will also be happy to know that Aldi and Tesco have both slashed the price of a tub of Quality Street in the run up to Christmas.

The supermarket is well-known for its Specialbuy deals – we’ve rounded up this week’s best.

It’s also issued a statement on whether or not customers can buy fireworks this year, while Sainsbury’s has banned their sale.
