Head of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva was facing another grilling last night as her job hangs in the balance. 

Georgieva has been accused by law firm Wilmer Hale of manipulating data in her former role as boss of the World Bank to boost China’s ranking in a closely watched report. 

She was questioned by the IMF’s board last week, after the committee also met with representatives from Wilmer Hale.

But following a private meeting on Friday night which stretched on for five hours, the IMF’s executive board were still undecided on Georgieva’s future. 

The Fund’s directors were set to call the 68-year-old in for another interview last night.
