A POSH studio flat has become an online hit for its space-saving techniques – as the bedroom is crammed into the KITCHEN.
The pad, on the market for £82,000, looks like a steal at first glance, boasting a huge living room and kitchen, as well as a standard-sized bathroom.
But it has been mocked by house hunters for squeezing the master bedroom into the cooking area – with only a flimsy curtain to conceal the boudoir.
A double bed has somehow been fitted into the enclosed sleeping space, that is only separated from the kitchen by a shower-like curtain.
The property listing describes the set-up as a “dining-sized kitchen incorporating an enclosed internal sleeping area.”
The unorthodox living space is being flogged as a “large style studio flat” – but property finders have poked fun at the peculiar addition of the “kitchen bunk”.
The sleeping area’s makeshift shield between the rooms leaves the occupant at the mercy of the kitchen’s smells and noises.
Unbelievable pictures of the property show an arched entrance to the bedroom with a red shower curtain on hooks ‘seductively’ pulled back.
The studio flat with a kitchen sleeping pod in Glasgow, Scotland, has amused people trawling through estate agent Slater Hogg and Howison’s website.
One entertained social media user shared the snaps and said: “Looks fine, looks fine, looks f- wait is that a bed in the kitchen?
“£82k to sleep in a bed constantly humming of onions and garlic,” he joked.
“That kitchen is massive… It’s like somebody forgot to put in a bedroom,” another quipped.
And a third teased: “If you need me, I’ll be in the kitchen bunk.”
The estate agents listed the property as a “larger style studio flat in an outstanding location.”
They claimed it offers “a flexible layout” that would be “perfect for a first-time buyer or young professional looking to live in a prime West End location.
“The accommodation at present extends to reception hallway with storage cupboard, WC, formal bay windowed living room, dining sized kitchen incorporating an enclosed internal sleeping area with storage above, freshly installed bathroom.
“The flat offers scope to be further altered to create a double bedroom subject to the relevant planning and building warrant and also has double glazing.”
The flat’s bedroom literally contains everything – as well as the kitchen sink.
