SLACK is down for many users worldwide after issues with the chatting service began last night.

The issues are causing work chaos for those working from home and struggling to communicate.

Slack has acknowledged that there’s a problem and is said to be working on a fix.

It has also tweeted a possible solution for you to try.

How to fix Slack

The @SlackStatus account tweeted: “We’re seeing some signs of improvement, and reloading Slack (Ctrl/Command + R) may allow Slack to load again.

“The issue is not resolved for everyone, however, and we’ll be back again once we have another update to share.”

If holding down control and command while typing R doesn’t work for you then you may just have to wait until Slack sorts itself out.

The company more recently tweeted: “Thank you for bearing with us. It will take some time for the resolution to reach everyone.

“Switching to Google DNS may help for now, if organization policy permits.”

When will Slack be fixed?

Ten hours ago, Slack tweeted that the problem should be resolved in “24 hours”.

That means users will hopefully see the issues resolved this evening.

According to Downdector, 45% of people are reporting problems with the Slack app.

It says a further 39% are reporting problems with the website.

Slack has said the problems are due to a DNS server issue.

It said in a statement: “We are aware of connectivity issues related to DNS that are impacting a small sub set of users.

“This issue was caused by our own change and not related to any third-party DNS software and services.”
