INSTAGRAM went down for thousands of users across the UK in a surprise outage earlier today.
The app appears to have stopped working properly at around 9.45am UK time.

Online outage tracker Down Detector logged thousands of complaints about the app.
It’s currently unclear what caused the outage.
The majority of users on Down Detector were reporting issues with the app, and “server connection”.
Many complained that the feed wouldn’t load.
The Sun verified that the main photo feed failed to load or update for some users.
In any case, users flocked to Twitter to complain about the outage.
One wrote: “Screams why is Instagram down again”.
Another said: “Instagram’s having a good few weeks – down again!”
And one moaned: “Is Instagram down or is my internet s***?”
We’ve asked Instagram for comment and will update this story with any response.
