The other new flavours hitting the shelves on September 1 include cheesy, “scarily spicy” Carolina reaper strips and a classic crispy nugget with a twist.

The crispy version will come shaped as doughnuts made of 100% chicken breast.

Iceland’s cheesy nuggets and cheesy jalapeno nuggets will cost £3 for 30.

The spicy strips will also be on sale for £3, but it’s not clear how many pieces come in a pack.

If you’re eyeing up the chicken doughnuts, they’ll also cost £3 but you’ll get 18 inside the packet.

You can find your nearest Iceland store using its online branch locator, or you can order online.

Next day delivery is free when you spend £40.

Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK first posted news of the new product launch.

One Facebook user wrote: “OMG chicken and doughnut in the same sentence, I think I’m in love.”

Another said: “Literally all of these look good.”

The new flavours have come at the right time for chicken fans, as high street chains have run out due to supply issues.

Nando’s was forced to close 50 branches this week after it ran out of chicken.

Fast food chain KFC has also revealed it is facing shortages and some menu items are unavailable.
