ALDI is selling a hanging tripod fire pit for just £30 – and it also doubles up as a grill.

It’s easy to assemble and it’s portable, so the fire pit can be used in the garden or on camping trips – and it comes with a handy carry bag.

  • Aldi’s Gardenline Tripod Firepit. Price: £29.99 – buy now

The fire pit is £29.99 and is available in Aldi stores from today or you can buy it online.

You can find your nearest Aldi branch using the company’s online store locator.

If you choose to shop online, the cost of getting a large item delivered starts at £3.95 and it should arrive within a week.

It costs £6.95 for named day delivery, but you can return the fire pit for free if you decide it’s not for you.

You should always shop around before buying anything online to make sure you’re getting the best value for money.

Amazon has a similar model available for £31.99 – which is slightly cheaper than the cost of the Aldi version when you include home delivery.

The online retailer has another version for £34.99 with free delivery – making it just £1 more expensive than Aldi’s fire pit once extra costs are factored in.

But if you pick up the Aldi fire pit in store, the Amazon versions are more expensive.

Meanwhile, Wayfair is selling a similar fire pit for more than double the price at £79.99.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

If you’re looking for somewhere comfy to relax when you’re gathering round the fire pit, Aldi’s also selling a rattan bamboo bistro set.

The £170 garden furniture set comes with one glass topped table and two matching rattan-woven chairs – complete with cushions.
