WHATSAPP is a great way to keep in touch with friends but sometimes you may want to block a contact or an unknown number.

Luckily, this is easy to do and you just need to follow the steps below.

How to block a contact on WhatsApp

Open the WhatsApp chat with the contact you want to block.

Then click the name at the top of the chat.

Scroll down and you should see “Block Contact”.

Click this and then click “Block”.

You can unblock a contact through the same route but this time you will see the option to “unblock”.

How to block an unknown number on WhatsApp

The process is very similar to the one above.

Click on the chat with the unknown number.

Click “Block” and you should also see an option to “Report and Block”.

A blocked contact won’t be able to message or call you on WhatsApp.
