MCDONALD’S is adding five new items to its menu for the summer including a tasty new burger and two flavours of McFlurry.

It comes just two weeks after the McSpicy joined the line-up, delighting and disappointing fast food fans.

New items will be on the Maccies menu - but not for long

Joining the McDonald’s menu from tomorrow (July 28) is the BBQ Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

It’s the familiar Maccies Quarter Pounder with Cheese, but with a summer twist of tasty BBQ sauce.

The burger will also come in a double-sized version, which has not one but two beef burgers in.

The burgers will be priced at £5.09 for the single as a meal with fries and a drink, and £6.09 for the double, though prices can vary depending on where you are.

Another tasty addition to the fast food chain’s menu is Garlic Cheese Bites.

These dairy-filled nugget shapes come in a single portion of five or a larger sharing box.

What’s new to the Mcdonald’s menu?

HERE’s what’s new to the Maccies menu for a limited time:

  • BBQ Quarter Pounder with Cheese
  • Double BBQ Quarter Pounder with Cheese
  • Garlic Cheese Bites
  • Twix McFlurry
  • Mars McFlurry

The last time cheesy style bites were spotted on Maccies menus was back in 2019, when cheese and herb melts made an appearance.

The new Cheesy Garlic Bites will cost £1.89 or £5.09 for the sharing box.

Topping of the new line up is everyone’s summer fave – the McFlurry.

New flavours returning to the restaurant are Twix and Mars and it’s the first time you’ve been able to get either of these flavours in two years.

It’s been 21 years since the McFlurry was launched infact. and to celebrate McDonald’s has been giving them away at star studded parties, including at Stormzy’s Birthday bash at Thorpe Park.

A Mcflurry will set you back just 99p for a mini or £1.49 for a full-sized portion.

Unfortunately the returning ice cream flavours mean two other will disappear – the Aero Chocolate and Aero Mint McFlurry.

Also disappearing from the menu is the BBQ Bacon Stack, which became available in June.

But the fast food chain did say at the time that these would only be around for six weeks.

If you fancy any of the new sweet or savoury treats, you’ll have to be quick though.

They are only available for a limited time and that’s four weeks, or until they sell out.
