How to connect Xbox controller to PC?

Luckily, connecting your Xbox controller to your PC is a simple and easy process.

For a wired controller use a micro USB cable to connect your Xbox controller to your PC.

For Windows 10 you may have eight controllers connected at once while Windows 7/8 will only allow you to connect four controllers at once.

If you have a wireless controller, you must first purchase a wireless adapter.

Then you will have to connect the adapter to an open USB port on your PC before pressing the Guide button (the Xbox logo).

Press and hold the sync button on the top of the controller until the logo flashes.

Press the sync button on your adapter and then the Guide will search for the pair.

Once the Xbox logic turns solid and stops flashing, you are ready to play!
