A football fan was taken to hospital in what was said to be a “serious condition” after falling from the stands at Wembley stadium during England’s match against Croatia on Sunday afternoon.

A spokesperson from the stadium and Uefa said that the spectator fell just after kick-off and was given medical attention at the ground before being taken to hospital.
