BARGAIN hunters have spotted Home Bargains is selling a Tower Fan for under £17.

The cooling device is ideal for those working from home in line with the government’s coronavirus guidance during the mini heatwave.

The fan stands 32 inches tall and comes with three speed settings, helping you reach the right temperatures.

It also has an oscillating function meaning it will pivot from side to side to keep more of the air cool.

The device by NesTech needs to be plugged into a wall though as it’s not wireless.

The fans were shared by deal hunters on the MoneySaverOnline Facebook group, with some people saying they’re already snapped up two.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Home Bargains is yet to confirm whether they’re still available or if they’re being stocked in branches across the UK.

The discounter is flogging the chill machines for £16.99 each, which is good value.

While we couldn’t find this exact brand and model available to buy anywhere else, we found a similar one for sale at Dunelm and Wilko.

The One Tower model at Dulem will set you back £25, even though it is the same height, has the same three speeds and oscillating function.

Wilko’s 32 inch Beldray Tower Fan also costs £25, but comes with a two hour timer too meaning you can set it to automatically turn off.

The next cheapest price for the same size fan is £29.99 from Argos for the Challenge Tower Fan.

Unfortunately, the NesTech fan isn’t available to buy online so you’ll need to pop to your nearest store if you want to get your hands on one.

You can find your local by typing in your town or postcode to the locator tool.

If you’d rather shop online, the retailer is currently selling a Honeywell Oscillating Tower Fan with remote control for £52.99, down from £69.99.

Delivery costs range from £3.29 and £11.99 depending on the size of the products and whereabouts in the UK the delivery address is.

Customers should factor these costs into any savings they may make by shopping at Home Bargains.

Speaking of keeping cool, B&M is selling a cooling mat for dogs and cats and they only cost £5 each.

For any humans wanting to bask in the summer sun on the other hand, we have a list of the cheapest inflatable paddling pools on offer from £4.
