David Beckham-backed Cellular Goods has hired Antony Buck as a consultant
Ren Skincare’s founder has been hired by a David Beckham-backed cannabis company.
Antony Buck, who created the posh cosmetics line in 2000, will provide consulting services to Cellular Goods as it gears up to launch its first skincare and athletic recovery products later this year.
Its lines will contain cannabidiol (CBD), the non-psychoactive product of the plant cannabis that is thought to aid relaxation.
Former England captain Beckham owns a 5 per cent stake in Cellular Goods through his business DB Ventures.
He has been a backer since the firm was founded in 2018.
The business has also hired two members of staff for its business development team, and a head of process and applied sciences.
Cellular confirmed that it will be making CBD products for animals after it appointed Caroline Queen, who previously worked at vet support group Vet Partners, as its pet care adviser.
Cellular is beefing up its senior team following its February float.
