Man believed to have broken Covid rules by travelling to Scotland was rescued from Loch Lomond island

A kayaker thought to have travelled from England to Scotland was left up the creek without a paddle, having to be rescued after becoming stuck on an island.

The man, who is believed to have travelled there England in a breach of coronavirus rules, had been camping over the Easter weekend on the west side of Inchtavannach, an island in Loch Lomond, southern Scotland.
