KFC is introducing a new Zinger popcorn chicken bucket but it’s only available from 10 restaurants across the country.

If the item is popular with customers it could be added permanently to the KFC menu.

The new bold flavour is being trialled in select restaurants

At the moment it’s only on the menu in ten locations until April 18.

KFC has 900 branches in the UK and you can use its online restaurant finder to track down your nearest one.

If your restaurant is serving it, it costs £4.99 and you can have it delivered, as well as collecting the takeaway yourself.

KFC restaurants across the country can’t open for dine-in at the moment but they are still offering their full delivery and takeaway services.

Where can I buy the Zinger popcorn chicken?

The Zinger popcorn chicken will only be available at 10 select restaurants

  • Barrow in Furness – Hollywood Retail Park
  • Leigh – Parsonage Retail Park
  • Newark – Lincoln Road
  • Hull – The Beacon
  • Hull – Kingswood Retail Park
  • Lincoln – Nettleham Road
  • Hull – The Mount Retail Park
  • Lincoln – High Street
  • Widness
  • Warrington – Kings Way South

KFC’s standard menu has the classic popcorn favourites in a variety of sizes – you can buy a large box for £4.99 and a regular for £3.99 from places like Deliveroo and Just Eat.

So for the same price as one of the big boxes you could get your hands on the bold new flavouring.

The flavour of the new popcorn chicken treats is the same as the other Zinger options KFC has to offer – adding a spicy kick to the fried chicken.

So if you are a fan of things like the zinger burger which is £5.49 or the zinger salad box for £4.89 then you might find a new love in the latest addition to the zinger family.

These are the prices you can pick up the spicy snacks for on Just Eat but you will have to bear in mind the extra delivery charge, which can vary in price, up to around £3, depending on how far you live from the restaurant.

You can place your order on the app, instead, if you want to go collect from your closest branch, and then you won’t have to pay the extra delivery fee.

The fast-food giant has trialled other takes on the popcorn classics before to test their popularity.

One includes an 80-piece bucket that was met with such success after its original run in Scottish restaurants that it’s made an appearance in branches nationwide two years in a row.

Mcdonalds has their own new menu out with six fresh items for fast-food fans to enjoy.

US brand Popeyes is arriving in the UK with a take on chicken set to rival KFC.

Restaurants can take outside bookings from April 12. See KFC’s reopening plans.
