Customers who take advantage of the offer can choose any regular size hot drink, including coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Prices vary depending on the branch and the drink, but normally you can expect to pay 99p for a tea or a hot chocolate and £1.49 for a cappuccino or latte.

To claim the freebie, you’ll need to first download the app from Google Play for Android phones and App store for Apple users, between March 15 and July 5.

Customers will then need to register as a new user using their email address, and provide a few personal details, such as your name and age.

Just remember, you may need to agree to let McDonald’s use your information for marketing reasons.

Once signed up, you will be able to claim the freebie in the offers section of the app – you don’t need to order anything else either to get your free drink.

You’ve then got 21 days from the date you registered with the app to redeem the offer.

It’s also worth noting you can only claim the free drink when you order through the app to pick up in store – it’s not valid on orders placed at the till, self-service screens or through McDelivery.

There are also a few franchise restaurants that won’t be running the deal – you can find the full list in the box below.

You can only claim one freebie per customers and can’t claim it alongside any other offer.

It’s not the first time Maccies has run the deal – it was also available in October and July last year.

The burger chain is also running a week’s worth of daily deals – although it is coming to an end tomorrow.

Today, you can bag a box of chicken nuggets for 99p, while yesterday fans could pick up £15 worth of food for a tenner.

Tomorrow’s deal will see customers knock a huge 30% off all orders – and they have two weeks to redeem it.

You can use its restaurant’s store locator tool on its website to find your nearest branch.
