ERLING Haaland is best known for his legendary status as the superstar striker for the Manchester City Football Club.
The striker has been with Man City for two years now, and has become a fan favourite player known for his phenomenal scoring ability.
But in a curious twist of fate, Haaland has switched from making history in football to making history in video games.
That’s because popular mobile game Clash of Clans has added Haaland to the game, with the football star becoming the first ever real person to be depicted in the game.
Clash of Clans is a free-to-play mobile strategy game from Finnish developer Supercell, and was first launched in 2012 on iOS and 2013 on Android.
The game quickly became a smashing success, being played by hundreds of millions of players every day, and earning billions in revenue each year.

That’s despite it remaining exclusive to mobile, and never having had a release on consoles like the Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Haaland has been a fan of the game for quite some time, with the 23-year-old football superstar admitting that he’s played the game for over ten years.
Haaland said: “I think I was around 10 when I discovered Clash. Me and my friends started playing—we’ve had a lot of fun together.”
Haaland will be recruitable in the game as a Barbarian King from now until May 31, 2024, but players will also be able to take him down.

Supercell says that if you raid Haaland’s village, you’ll get rewards like potions and ore, and will also be able to earn a spot on the leaderboards.
Alongside the promotion are new cosmetics inspired by Haaland and football as a whole, with football-themed scenery for your village and skins for your troops available.
Fans have reacted strongly to the news, with many excited that they’ll be able to recruit Haaland to their game.
Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube are all filled with excited players, with one saying: “Erling Haaland looks absolutely gorgeous as a character, he is so perfect.”
