In a fiercely competitive streaming market, Sky likes to draw in new customers by routinely offering a 30-day trial period for its hugely popular TV box.

It costs £28 per month for an 18-month contract, or £31 per month on a rolling basis.

That’s not bad for the entire content catalogues of Netflix, Sky Entertainment and Discovery+.

On top of that, all customers get six months of free Apple TV+, too.

Sky is clearly proud of the Stream box – in fact, they use quote our Senior Tech Reporter Jamie Harris, who reviewed the device: ‘It’s surprising that a tiny box packs so much punch.’

The Sky Stream was released in the autumn of 2022, and is one of two major new products from from the telecom giant in recent times.

Back in 2021, the brand launched the Sky Glass, a 4K television that offers the same range of content and features as the Stream – with no upfront cost for the telly itself.

Neither the stream or Glass requires satellite installation, and if you’re already subscribed to Netflix, Sky will sort out transferring your account over to the new combo.

But if you’re also considering of upgrading your television, you might be better off looking at a Sky Glass deal that offers new buyers 3 months of Sky TV and Netflix.

The Glass offers everything the Stream box does – it’s simply all housed inside a 4K television. Much like the Stream, the Glass doesn’t require any satellite installation.
