Are Sainsbury’s stores affected?

It’s understood that this technical issue is isolated to those who’ve placed orders online.

However, the ability to shop in-store remains unaffected.

Sainsbury’s working to resolve delivery issues

Responding to a customer, Sainsbury’s X account wrote: “I’m sorry for the tech issue.

“We’re aware there is an issue and we’re working to have it fixed ASAP.

“At this stage I wouldn’t be able to confirm when your delivery will happen.”

What has Sainsbury’s said?

The company has not yet issued a formal statement but is replying to users on Twitter/X.

Responding to one user, the company said: “We’re experiencing some tech issues this morning, which is affecting a lot of orders.

“We would advise you to place a new order for a future date.”

Fuming customers complain of cancelled orders

Sainsbury’s customers have flooded social media this morning complaining of cancelled orders.

Taking to X, one wrote: “Is there an issue with deliveries today? I am not been able to speak to anyone as your phone lines are not working either.”

While another added: “The absolute cheek of Sainsbury’s completely ghosting their customers about their deliveries being cancelled today. I live in a rural area they haven’t even bothered to phone, text or email me about my order being cancelled this morning.”
