MCDONALD’S fans have just hours left to play the fast-food chain’s Winning Sips competition.

To be eligible to win, you must purchase a medium or large soft drink.

You then simply peel the sticker on the cup to pay and it will either contain an Instant Win prize or App Play game piece.

With an Instant Win game piece customers are in with a chance of getting their hands on a free menu item, limited-edition merchandise, festival tickets, and big cash prizes up to £10,000.

If you peel to reveal an App Play game piece, this means you can scan the code in McDonald’s App for another chance to win.

But you must submit your tickets before the competition ends at 23.59 on April 16.

App Play is available on the McDonald’s App and customers can take part by downloading via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

This year, the game has a new element – players can score a huge 1,500 MMR points when they peel and play seven times in the McDonald’s App with Bonus Sip.

MMR points are MyMcDonald’s Reward points you will earn 1 point for every penny you spend on our menu items when you order using the McDonald’s app at participating restaurants.

This means that customers will have enough for a free medium cold drink and another chance to win big.

This is only the second year that the Winning Sips promotion has run after it started in March 2023. 

The Winning Sips promotion is not to be confused with the McDonald’s Monopoly promotion, which has been around since 2005. 

The McDonald’s Monopoly promotion mimics the classic board game and customers collect game pieces when they buy specific McDonald’s products, such as colour-coordinated road names or train stations.

What drinks are included in the Winning Sips promotion?

These are the McDonald’s drinks that are included in the Winning Sips promotion:

  • Coca-Cola Zero Sugar
  • Diet Coke
  • Sprite Zero
  • Coca-Cola Classic
  • Fanta Orange
  • Oasis
  • Chocolate Milkshake
  • Strawberry Milkshake
  • Banana Milkshake
  • Vanilla Milkshake

Any of these drinks will contain Winning Sips peel stickers but they must be a size medium or large.

Hot drinks are not included in the promotion.

Menu prices can vary depending on location so it is best to check with your local restaurant.

What prizes could I be in with a chance of winning?

For the instant win prize, you can win cash prizes up to £100, as well as free items from the McDonald’s menu.

With an App Play game piece customers can scan the code for another chance to win.

How to redeem prizes?

Customers who bag an instant win must submit the security barcode on the sticker by following the web address printed on the game piece.

They will also need to provide some personal details and a bank account for the cash prize to be paid into.

Winners of a food prize or McDonald’s merchandise will receive a notification of the prize awarded in the Winning Sips Wallet in the McDonald’s app.
