HOUSEHOLDS needing to stock up on groceries over the bank holiday weekend will want to know Co-op’s opening hours.
Many of us look forward to a longer break over Easter, and retail workers are no different.

Co-op has over 4,000 stores nationwide, but opening times might still vary across the UK.
Below we round up what you need to know.
Is Co-op open over the Easter bank holidays?
Co-op’s larger stores will be open as usual – the majority between 7am and 10pm – on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.
However, larger branches in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will close on Easter Sunday.

Co-op’s smaller convenience stores will be open as normal across the Easter weekend.

Are shops closed on Easter Sunday?
Several other supermarkets have confirmed they will be closing their doors on Easter Sunday.
This is typically due to trading laws which state that shops over 280sq metres in size have to remain shut on the bank holiday.

Aldi and Lidl will pull down the shutters on all of their shops in England and Wales.
Meanwhile, all of Tesco’s larger stores in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be closed.
The same applies to Asda’s larger stores, as well as all of Morrisons shops.
All Sainsbury’s larger UK stores will also be closed on Easter Sunday, barring its Scottish branches which will open as normal, and its Local stores which will be open as usual from 7am to 10pm.
