Iceland’s opening hours revealed

Most Iceland stores are usually open from 7am or 8am until 7pm, and in some cities, stores are open until 9pm.

Iceland stores in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will all close on Easter Sunday, while Scottish branches will stay open.

Regular opening hours will apply for Easter Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, apart from shopping centre branches.

You can use the store locator tool on Iceland’s website to find the opening times for your nearest branch.

England’s upcoming bank holidays

There are plenty more bank holidays to come in 2024 – here’s the complete list of what’s to come.

  • March 29, 2024 – Good Friday
  • April 1, 2024 – Easter Monday
  • May 6, 2024 – Early May bank holiday
  • May 27, 2024 – Spring bank holiday
  • August 26, 2024 – Summer bank holiday
  • December 25, 2024 – Christmas Day
  • December 26, 2024 – Boxing Day

Will Greggs be open?

Greggs has confirmed it’s operating its usual bank holiday hours for all stores over Easter.

It means you can expect stores to be open, but opening times may vary.

For this reason, you should check your local branch’s opening hours to save a wasted trip.

Halfords opening and closing times this Easter

Halfords’ retail stores are largely sticking to their standard opening hours for much of the weekend.

Good Friday will see business as usual with an opening window of 8am to 8pm.

Monday’s hours have actually been expanded from 6pm to an 8pm closing time.

Likewise, Halfords stores which are usually closed on Sundays will be open from 9am to 5.15pm on Easter Sunday.

Saturday, however, will see closing time brought forward from 6pm to 5.15pm

ASDA opening hours this weekend

The following opening times apply to most of Asda’s stores across Easter:

  • Thursday, March 28 – 7am-10pm
  • Friday, March 29 – 7am-10pm
  • Saturday, March 30 – 7am-10pm
  • Sunday, March 31 – Closed
  • Monday, April 1- 7am-10pm

Shops set to shut in just hours

Shops across the country are set to close their doors in just hours for Easter Sunday.

This year, the Good Friday and Easter Monday bank holidays fall on March 29 and April 1.

Asda, Aldi, Tesco and many other stores will shut on Easter Sunday, with only a few select stores expected to remain open.
